Where did the time go?
I can't believe the election is only 25 days away! It seems like only yesterday I was still deciding whether to run or not.
Did you watch the debate on Tuesday night? If not, Channel 10 is showing reruns throughout the day. Did you like the questions and answers that were presented to the candidates? It was important to hear all of the candidates answers whether I agreed with them or not. Everyone spoke from the heart and in their own way wants the best for Fillmore. I'm always impressed with Jamey Brooks' delivery.
What did you think of the answers? Was there a response that any candidate made that you really liked or disliked?
What other questions would you have wanted to be asked of the candidates?
There's a lot of activity going on on all the blogs around. I think it's time for me to get back to work on my writing and start discussing more local issues.

I don't understand how Cuevas states she doesn't know about eminent domain/Hillside Drive.Or where that comes from,when it is clearly on the table! So I guess she forgot about Beccera Property too?
I think the property owner has consistently made it clear that he does not want Hillside Drive going through his orchard. He is also a proponent of Measures H & I. If Hillside Drive moves forward the City will have to eminent domain the property.
I think Hillside Dr would be more fun than a 5 million skate park.WHOO HOO!!
Gayle,I though you did a great job as did Jamey.I thought Conaway and Cuevas were a bit PR0-STATUS QUO.They think everything is peachy keen which it is not.We have a budget that Conaway approved with included a 7% pay increase and then theirs Cuevas' flaking on her responsibility to vote on the budget(ran out before the vote).Trust and respect is not what matters to them.
I cannot wait till the financial come out to see how much Cuevas and Conaway are getting from Reider and Suncal to help defeat Measure's H&I.
