Greetings from an itinerant blogger
Did you think I was never going to blog again? Ha! No chance of that.
I still have a lot to discuss with you. But when I sit down to write a topic, I can't just throw out just anything. Usually I like to give you some new information so that means scanning documents into the computer, posting them to the website and then writing about it. So there goes an hour or two. That's not counting obtaining the documents, which can be a challenge.

See, now that I have a dog I have even less time than I had before. Yes, one of Jo Ann's last requests was "will you take care of Puff?". Of course, I said yes. This dog has a shrill bark you would not believe. She has separation anxiety so I can't go anywhere without getting a babysitter. My carpet has dirty paw prints every where - and she pukes a lot. But we're adjusting just fine and I'm becoming one of those people that treat their dog like a baby. I've always had "real" dogs before. The kind that ride in the back of the truck and chase balls. Not this one.
Anyway, see how I had to show you a picture and crop it, etc.? Never a simple blog post.
There were some comments made on another topic about the Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society. I participated in the Relay for my second year and raised funds. I enjoy doing the relay and God knows I can use the exercise. But, I think the writer does have a very good point.
Where does all that money go? You can find out here. They have an "overall rating" of 42% and an "efficiency rating" of 24%. Revenue is $943,578,000! That's almost a billion dollars.
There is no cure but there sure is a lot of treatment.
More later on the Santa Paula City Council meeting tonight.

Thanks for the link Gayle. Im sorry for sounding negative but I think people think there pocketbooks are the key to finding a cure. Every year millions apon millions of dinero is contributed and what have we accomplished? The same could be said about the diabetes asociation, march for dimes and HIV/AIDS research.
The pharmacutical companies are benefiting from this onslot of contributors.
Oh by the way, Riley and Hunter say hello to Puff.
Gayle,
Puff is adorable, a little patience and love goes a long way. Give Puff sometime to adjust, she like you just lost her companion.
Watch Dog Whispers, Cesar has great suggestions, you'll be surprised at what you will learn. He is great with dogs.
I always new you had a Big Heart.
Puff and you will be best of friends.
Did you know that besides Oil and Gas companies be... Did you know that besides Oil and Gas companies being a defining force in D.C., the Pharmaceutical Companies ranked 2nd with regards to the number of lobbyists and consulting firm's that are assigned to each politician?
This should explain why NO cure's are insight, except more pill's and chemo therapy's, or why "gas guzzlers" are still being manufactured world wide.
Open your eye's everyone.
Sara Lee,It's no surprise that politicians love for us to all have "gas guzzlers" they get a large part of their budget from the fuel tax we pay.More gas = more of our money they get to blow.
anonymous - I agree that there are a lot of issues with the pharmaceutical companies.
...arf arf arf
One thing ironic about the oil company lobbying is that in 2000 oil was about $28 a barrel. Two years ago it hit $50 and last week briefly jumped to $90 before settling down.
I was going to write about the lecture at Ventura College a few weeks ago about oil prices and demand. Dr. Fereidun Fesharaki, of FACTS Global Energy, presented his view of the future of oil. You can see the presentation at [www.fgenergy.com]
