Due to Gayle’s extremely busy schedule, I’ve offered to help moderate the forum and I may even post a topic / question or two.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I will respect that opinion as long as it is expressed in a manner that is free of personal insults, innuendos or unsubstantiated rumors about others. This would also include the name under which you are posting. Any comments that don’t follow this simple guideline will just disappear into the Ethernet.

Over the weekend I did some "catch up reading" on current affairs regarding National leaders and local issues. The Washington Post had a interesting outlook on the general mood of the electorate. As many subscribers of the Washington Post know, they are unbiased, and they report the facts then let you the reader decide. There was a report on the job performances of both the U.S. Congress (which comprises of the U.S. House of Reps, and U.S. Senate). Here are their month long results of their polls.
1. How would you rate the job performance of the U.S. Congress ?
23% Approve
75% Disapprove
2. How would you rate the job performance of President George W.Bush?
33 % Approve
64% Disapprove.

On a Local level, here is my own opinion on how our Council members rate .

Patti Walker- D
The journalist who wrote this piece stated that "the electorate has a grim view of politics in general " and "it's hitting on local the level ".
I say to our own Council Members, listen and interact with your constituents (your boss) and be truthful and vote your heart not
coware down or compromise to just get a along with other members of the council. I would also like to point out that when a Council member receives a mandate from the electorate, you do have some political capital to work with!

Walker's record is not anything to brag about. I agree with Saralee bakery on that point but that is it , everything else that was written is junk.
For the bloggers who are whining and whimpering about my constructive critism towards council members, just remember its a good thing to construct to improve. Without constructive critism , nothing changes. Again this is a good thing.
Everyone: I am so happy and grateful that Tom Fennell has agreed to participate in the moderation of comments and perhaps write some topics.
I'm away from my desk frequently so sometimes I can't monitor the comments quickly enough.
Tom is a smart guy and has a sense of humor that will make you smile.
