Whats amusing is that Laurie Hernandez had the guts to lie to the voters and say " Im not running with Ken Smedley". That new pac , sure spent alot MULA on those too. The question is , Is Laurie not all there or is she just taking too much advice from Campbell?
Citizens for a Safer Fillmore have left out some important information.
1st) Form 497 dated 11/4/2006. The Amount Received from Bob Biering is not submitted.
2nd) The I.D. Number is not included on any Documents.
3rd) The Semi Annual Report,
10/22/06 – 12/31/06 is missing

Sure would surprise people here to find out that "YOU" in particular use that foul language and doesn't like the idea that others have an opinion different than yours.

I can understand the source of your frustration, the “CONTRITE B***SH*T” political practices that you have held so dear to your heart are melting away like and ice cream cone on a hot summer day and there is nothing you can do about it. Perhaps even slipping away faster is your dearly held “inside power track”. The power of the Internet that gives you the anonymous status you seem to cherish is also going to be your downfall. Mr. Brian Sipes did a fantastic job raising funds for my recent campaign.

As you know, Mr. Sipes is an excellent businessman and mortgage broker. Nothing wrong with that and nothing wrong with developers as long as they don't take over and destroy your community - as I've heard from many, many people.

How are they making Fillmore better? Between the smog, traffic, cost of infrastructure that we'll go bankrupt on, loss of trees making this place a dust bowl half the time. 126 will soon look like Ventura Boulevard in the valley - one strip mall after another - while every other building will be a vacant eyesore like our first block(the most important entry) of Central.
Prosperity is not an evil commodity - but who's getting prosperous here in Fillmore? I can only think of a few - who happen to work for developers after honing their skills on the dais. Who's paying the price? The citizens of Fillmore.
Oh, and as far as the campaign filings, I'll be happy to post them if you scan them into a pdf file and email them to me like the person who did the other ones. That many pages would take me all day to scan with my scanner.
I can tell you though (proudly) that all of my campaign donations were from locals and $250 or less. I was truly amazed as I never thought I'd bring in more than a couple of hundred dollars.
So, send me the files. You have to get them at City Hall - I don't know if they will charge you for them or not.

Indulge me with these statistics of developers which can donate huge sums of money compared too the max for a single candidate 250.00. each person.
There is no comparison.
Walker /Washburn camps,didnt take any money from CORPS OR PACS unlike Smedley and Hernandez who received money from Griffin, SunCal and Harrison Trash.
Didnt Diane McCall receive PAC money too?
Her official filings also reported Diane received a good sized loan? From who ? Her employer?
I have grave concerns over this .
Conaway received thousands of dollars from PACS in 2004 , check the records out for that year, very intriquing.

I dont think Claire is obessing about Diane McCall's campaign donations, simply concerned. After looking over Diane's financials,yes its clear that Diane received a loan.
Claire , I believe this loan was from Diane (herself) .
It is legal to loan yourself monies for your own campaign. Ken Smedley did the same.There is nothing wrong with this practice. However, PACS vs. individual contributors are a completely different. For example, the Washburn and Walker campaigns received individual contributions , NO corportations, NO PACS.
As far as Im aware, Hernandez and Smedley are the only ones that received PAC monies in 2006.

Man it has been a long time since I even looked at this blog, but it is nice to know that things still have not changed, the BS is only getting thicker and has a much stronger order. From Gayle completely missing the point, to ClaireK's pychosis with delusional disorder, to people still going on and on about the election. What a waste of time, you all must have a lot of it. Maybe as a suggestion you might consider actually becoming a productive member of the solution not a person who drowns on and on about a vertreat product that simply is based on information from a used car sellsman, or person that uses fear tactics to scare the public into achieving their agenda. A good example of this is the NFSP, it looks as though all the rhetoric of over regarding this issue, but lets see the fear, stop development it is simply to many to quick, the reality, 894 homes instead of 700. What is so hilarious about you fools is Laurie did not raise over $1000.00 dollars..... Dah were her personal flyers hand made..... please just because these organizations supported her was because they have watched and seen her continual volunteerism and willing to step up for any cause. So go freakin take a hike. Go get a copy of other candidates espenses.... Did Laurie have fancy signs, think not. What I find more disgusting is you losers writing about an individual who has from high school years to this day donate her time and knowledge to just about ever organization in this community. Have you coached cheerleading, run parades for more than 15 years, served on youth football, been president of little league, coodinated the 1st annual ACS and supported school districts as JA Rep been on the chamber off and on for years or even done a damn thing for anything in this town. And if you really knew the heart and commitment this young lady had you would be ashamed. The people that really know her tell her over and over you gotta say NO! But that is not an option for this incredible giving unselfish person I know. For those of you who like to demean someone who gives her entire life to this towm which I remind most of you new residents who don't know a damn thing about this town, this young lady was born and raised here. If you have not payed attention as always they are a unit working to make the best of what your past councils should have done years ago.
