Happening this week.

There will be a meeting tomorrow night at the Orange Blossom Villa -- 827 River Street at 6:00 pm. This is the second meeting to organize citizens for a letter writing campaign to our county and state legislators for subsidies or ???. Although I am not in support of the $83 million contract with American Water, I am in support of bringing this issue to the attention of our legislators.

On Wednesday night the Planning Commission meets at 6:30. Here is the agenda.

I like this item: 6a. Fillmore Character, What is it?

What do you think it is? Is it something tangible like architecture, signs or orange trees? Is it intangible like community service and volunteering, helping your neighbors or feeling safe walking at night?

I stumbled across a great Ventura County blog. He has some interesting topics and lots of local links. I'm going to add it to my links sidebar. Enjoy.

The Fillmore Hawks have officially finished up our letters and mailed them out. Twelve letters arent alot but it will all count. Has our local political figures and city staff done their due dilegence? Time is of the essence according to the city staff and city council. Or is it?

The Fillmore Hawks have also endorsed and fully support President Bush in his decision to increase 21,500 troops ordered to Iraq. This president has saved our country from more terrorist attacks and the Fillmore Hawks hope the city council will endorse this plan and sign the "CITIES UNITED FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR TROOPS".

No , The Fillmore Hawks are not a PAC.

The Fillmore Hawks are a watchdog group made up of concerned families, hence of the reckless decisions the past city council and planning commission has engaged in.
Any other concerns or questions "confusedsir" ?

Thank you Gayle for continuing to offer options to the city. I was quite concerned about a lot of the information Ralph Reese presented last night about the city's chosen company. Doesn't sound like an outfit I'd want a long term arrangement with.
