Still snowed in...

Well, the second blizzard within a week has passed. The roads are still a mess and piles of snow everywhere. This is very unusual as is the weather everywhere recently. Denver usually gets the most snow in March and April - just in time for the spring break skiers. December and January usually have an average precipitation of about .5".

My internet access has been very sporadic so I haven't been able to post topics or respond as much as I would like to. I'm trying to get your comments published but if I haven't it's because I don't have a connection.

Gayle and Patti-

Happy new year to all we wish the best. Its nice to be back Fillmore . After glancing over the Fillmore Gazette I must say that we appreciate Cecelia Cuevas and Patti Walker being active and consistant in regards to the sewer plant. Options are what we need not city staff slogans. My curiousity goes out to how many letters have been sent out from city staff and other council members to our state and federal elected officials. My husband and I have completed ours . The Fillmore Hawks will be meeting this tuesday to finish up the other letters. In my humble opinion Laurie Hernandez needs to publish her letter shell that she is handing out too her friends as the Gazette has reported. It would be generous for Laurie Hernandez to think outside the friendship circle and include our whole city. Isnt that what a elected official does?

marc o: Thanks for the greetings. I am happy to be back.

clairek: Happy new year to you too and welcome back.

You make a good point about how many letters have been sent out from city staff and council members. Was this not considered over the past year?

Weren't these numbers added up before?

Where was the fiscal analysis of the economic impact?

It is my thought that the job of city staff and city council is to protect the citizens and the fiscal vitality of the community as well as meeting water quality mandates.

There seemed to be somber surprise at the heartfelt and eloquent words spoken at the public protest hearing.

With the hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on Wall Street special counsel for writing a DBO contract, we could have possibly spent that to mount a lawsuit against LARWQCB instead.
