I'm testing out a new blog feature. It's a poll. I don't have it quite right yet and the placement seems a bit awkward but it might be fun.
It seems like everyone wants to speculate on the next mayor so let's test out the poll.

Slight problem with the poll. You can vote more than once. The poll is based on a cookie. Delete your cache and you're clear for landing!

I chose Cecilia as an example. I only wanted to point it out before the "Dark Side" found it.
I won't vote until the count is certified by the county. If by some miracle Smedley got more votes than Hernandez after all (he only needs approx. 100 more) I believe he would be Mayor. And I would have four years of witnessing allegations of code of ethics violations....AGAIN.
im sure Hernandez will fill in for smedley quite well.

Im very pleased with the results. I think Gayle should run again. She did great for a new candidate.I think the new council can possibly become decent if Conaway behave and actually sticks to the code of ethics and keeps is mean-spirited comments to himself. Hey Steve , how would Joseph Smith govern? Just food for thought!

It looks like some of you have had your way with this poll. That's okay though, it's just for fun.
I'll have to do some work to see how to avoid the multiple voting. Thanks to the anonymous heads up on that. I'd like to do some more polls in the future.
