A few changes

You might notice a few changes here. I removed my profile since it was outdated since the election. I'll have to come up with a better one.

I'm looking for a different picture too.

I've added a link to the Fillmore Gazette's new website. Have you checked it out yet? I've added a link to the sidebar. There are videotapes of the meetings to watch. It's very well designed and very ambitious in scope.

Regarding Gayle's question on the newsletter:

The Fillmore Hawks would like to have a section for council member votes and detail what the votes entails and the what and how it will affect us.

I was in disbelief in regards to the new sewar plant . This will cost us the taxpayers millions and it seems the city just indulges our tax dollars on things we just cant afford. Can you afford $98.00 or probably more a month? There has to be other options out there. I would like to know who decided that we didnt want to be involved with Santa Paula's institution?

Also , watching the meeting on the television has its draws, but the council memebers need to speak up or get a new system.

Thanks for the link to the Fillmore Gazette. It looks very professional. I don't agree with all the editorial comments, but at least they are labeled as such. The Sespe Sun hasn't quite mastered that part yet.

so what about those people who cant pay the $98.00 for sewar? I cant belive this is happening in Fillmore. I have never heard of such a price to flush........
What a shame.

Don't forget,our little businesses
pay a much bigger price. Our larger businesses, much more.It will drive
some businesses down the tubes.
What if they built it and no one paid? I think some residents will find it cheaper to rent outhouses
for the front yard,or none at all.

it would probably be cheaper for everyone to get their own septic tank

Septic tanks, what a great idea. Then Fillmore would have a truly environment friendly water solution: toilet to tap!

ClaireK I can not wait to see your skewed, biased, BS opinions about the council votes and what it means to the citizens of Fillmore. You actually have to have some intelegence to understand what is going on, since you do not, just be quite.

Hey Anon 8:55 AM - Just be quite what? Quite concerned? Quite vocal? Quite what for heavens sake?
Oh! Silly me did you mean quiet? That would be spelled Q U I E T. Shall we sound it out together?

Anon855 am

Does Claire Kennedy offend you? I actually think she is a real asset for our town.

PS : Claire , I do miss the word of the day. Do you think Anna Nichole Smith likes the word of the day? lol : )

ClaireK isn't worth the time of day for anyone, she is just full of BS and is a yenta, only interested in gossip and sturring up trouble. She has no original ideas and the help she offers to offend others, she is an a hypocrit, and only capable of understanding things at a second grade level. Her comments make no sense, thus she should be quite quit, and not such a dumb _ _ _

Anon 1125 I am sure that Ana Nicole Smith doesn't know a thing about Fillmore she is probably to busy spending her millions on lavish gifts for herself. Jealous, you should not be, she might be a millionare, but don't worry yourself she will never give you the time of day.

Hey dog trainer, while your comments are funny, you miss the point, it seems as though the anons and a few others are trying to express facts, unbiased objective facts, with no agenda other than to be involved and make this town the best little town in California. While the election is over, it seems as though the issues remain and that is what the past few posts on this blog are about, not the election, so while you try to tame and train the dogs, remember that there is another watch dog group out there monitoring Gayle and Patti, and trying to get real factual information out there. You may not like it, you may dissagree with it, but there is the need for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't believe there is such a thing as a unbiased objective person especially on a blog.
its difficult for a person in a black robe to put aside their opinions on how they FEEL on a subject. When you have two sides
that FEEL strongly about something,
facts get in the way of their opinions

When you say

remember that there is another watch dog group out there monitoring Gayle and Patti, and trying to get real factual information out there. You may not like it, you may disagree with it, but there is the need for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You say it (type it)with such conviction I doubt your sincerity

Dog trainer good points, and while I agree with you to a point, a person without an agenda is far more likely to be unbiased as one with an agenda, and while Patti definately has an agenda and Gayle seems to only fall for Patti rhetoric, she is at least open to other statements and opinions and is reseptive to facts. In this situation I feel that a lot of the information presented is based on facts, put all the statements together, throw in some critical thinking and guess what you generally get the truth. Than there are the 4 why's, this is a technique in which one asks why 4 times to a question or issue, generally again this will get you to the truth and facts, than there is the old rule, never assume and never assume you are not assuming, put this into practice and again generally you get facts. While there are a lot of opinions out there, I would pose that there are those that are genuinely interested in obtaining truth and knowledge in order to know how to solve problems. This search for the truth again generally finds facts that are unbiased. the difficulty is in finding the right questions to ask, which unfortunately can also create baises. But, if the information gathered does not answer the question than one has to be willing to pose another question and change tactics in order to find the right question.

So while being unbiased is difficult a fact is simply emperical, objective data that is collected in order to gain knowledge. Thus, if one wants to gain the knowledge the information is available, but they must be open minded.

the watch dog group is needed in order to deminish the damage caused by individuals that stand to gain either personally or publically from misrepresentation of information, consider it the control group for a study that is being conducted for a product, the product is public statements and a city council person and the factual basis for information presented. The problem or question is, is the information complete, factual, unbiased, objective emperical, and presented in a manner that does not appeal to the emotional attributes of the general populous. The study subjects ClaireK, Patti Walker, Gayle Washburn, the control group those that have an understanding of specific issues in an unbiased manner in which there is no agenda, the experimental group is those that post to this blog.

This would be an interesting study I think.
